The Odisha budget for 2024-25 was announced today by CM Majhi

The Odisha government has presented a budget of Rs 2.65 lakh crore for 2024-25, with a strong focus on agriculture, irrigation, and women's empowerment. The budget includes Rs 33,919 crore for agriculture and Rs 10,000 crore for the 'Subhadra' scheme. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi described it as a "people's budget" that prioritizes inclusive development.

In the 2024-25 budget presented by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Odisha government has outlined several significant allocations aimed at enhancing public welfare and infrastructure. The budget, totaling Rs 2.65 lakh crore, represents a 15% increase from the previous year and includes major financial provisions across various sectors. Key highlights include substantial investments in health insurance schemes, agriculture, and social welfare programs. The government has restructured existing schemes and introduced new initiatives to boost economic growth and support various demographics, reflecting a commitment to advancing the state's development agenda.


Please note the following allocations in the budget:
Health Insurance Schemes:
- Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana: Rs 3,056 crore allocated.
- PM-JAY Scheme: Rs 500 crore allocated for Odisha's share.

Agriculture:
- CM-Kisan Yojana (formerly KALIA): Rs 1,935 crore allocated.
-Total Agriculture Budget: Rs 33,919 crore (an increase from Rs 24,829 crore last year).
-Paddy Procurement Price: Rs 3,100 per quintal.

Shree Jagannath Temple:
Corpus Fund: Rs 500 crore allocated.

Sri Anna Abhiyan: Rs. 649 crore allocated.

Subhadra Yojana: Rs. 10,000 crore allocated.

Antodaya Gruha Yojana: Rs. 105 crore allocated.

Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana: Rs. 5,450 crore allocated.

Total Budget: Rs. 2.65 lakh crore (15% increase from last year).
