Dhenkanal Sadar DSP in Vigilance net for ₹30,000 bribe
Dhenkanal: The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in charge of the Sadar police station in the Dhenkanal district was arrested by Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday while reportedly accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
Abhinav Dalua has been named as the DSP in charge.
The DSP was allegedly captured in a trap set by the Vigilance team when he was taking the bribe from a coal transporter.
On August 24, the transporter allegedly gave the DSP Rs. 15,000.
In accordance with Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act of 2018, a complaint has been filed, and simultaneous searches have been conducted at eight different places to look for disproportionate assets. The following locations are where searches are being done:
* Ramchandrapur, Jatni, Khurda Plot No. 32/34
*Four locations in Dhenkanal
*Mother's residence at Meghadambaru, Balasore
* In-laws' residence in Keonjhar, Turumunga, and Jharbeda
* Hometown: Narasinghpur, Cuttack
