Training for government officers and employees to ensure proficiency in conducting official government work in the Odia language has commenced at Sanskruti Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Upon assuming the position at the CMO on the third floor of the Secretariat building, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi emphasized that all official work would be conducted in Odia. The objective is for all government officers and employees to conduct office work in Odia, and training has commenced at Sanskruti Bhawan. The training, organized by the Odia Bhasha Pratisthan under the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, encompasses ASOs, SOs, desk officers, and under secretaries. Eminent linguists and litterateurs are providing training on the appropriate use of professional language and the dictionary. The training will span five days. According to Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, participants are being trained to write in Odia without using any English words, while maintaining the integrity of the message. Furthermore, retired and current professors are serving as resource persons, conducting the five-day workshop for the officials, as highlighted by Culture Department Director Dilip Routray. Trainer Kailash Chandra Tikayatray, an eminent linguist, mentioned that the training aims to prepare the officers mentally to thrive in their own language and culture.
