Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) governing committee approved a Rs 190.26-crore budget for the Puri Jagannath Temple for the fiscal year 2021-22 on Tuesday.
According to SJTA Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar, the temple's revenue was Rs 105 crore and its expenditure was Rs 85 crore. "There is a revenue excess of around Rs 21 crore." In 2021-22, our interest income was Rs 37 crore. During 2021-22, we estimate it to be approximately Rs 750 crore," he added.
In addition, the temple authorities decided to review the site leased to Cashew Development Corporation. The number and quality of ritual supplies were also discussed.
