ASI and constable suspended For accused fugitive's escape

Puri: SP of Puri district After an offender fled from a police station, Kanwar Vishal Singh suspended two police officers for dereliction of duty on Tuesday.
According to sources, police apprehended one Kalia Majhi on Monday for his alleged involvement in a group clash at Brahman Taraboi hamlet, which is under Delang police jurisdiction.
Following his arrest, Kalia managed to get out from the Delang police station by giving a police officer a slip.
As word of Kalia's escape spread, residents formed a protest in front of the police station, demanding that he be apprehended immediately. The agitators departed when Pipili SDPO promised that actions would be done to apprehend the accused as quickly as possible.
For Kalia's escape, the district SP also suspended Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Padmini Sahu and constable Rojalia Bakla.
